Wall Mounted Fountains – Important Features
Surface
Probably the most important part of the design of the wall mounted fountain that you choose will be the type of product used for the back surface. Part of this will include the backdrop colour and the material used for the backdrop, it is so important to ensure when you are choosing one that it will blend in with your current décor. There are many different types of back surface including slate, marble, mirror and stone, each one will suite different environments. For example a smaller room may suite a mirror style better due to the effect the mirror will have on making the room appear larger, or a stone wall mounted fountain may look better in a more rustic setting.
Dimensions
If you have a small room then it would not make sense to buy a huge wall mounted fountain that will overpower the room, and could in effect negate the calming influence they have on your living space. Just like when you are buying a painting or a picture for the wall it is important to think about the space and what will fit well in it, wall mounted fountains range in shape and size and some of the larger ones can be up to 48 inches in height and 63 inches in width. As you can see these can be fairly large decorative features and will need a reasonably large wall in order that they fit into a room well. Sometimes the square style may not be suitable and your living space may be better suited to a long and narrow style, there are many of these available and they are generally around 69 inches in height and 30 inches in width. Before deciding on the wall mounted fountain measure your wall space and visualise what size would be best suited to that area.
Trim
The wall mounted fountains are usually encased using different trim effects made from different materials, again like the backdrops they range in style and design. Not only can you choose the different materials used for the trims you can also decide on the style. Where by some of the fountains have rounded corners which give a smoother effect or you could decide on the more traditional squared corners. Some of the different materials used to make the trims include stainless steel, standard copper and rustic copper, whichever surface, size and trim you choose for your wall mounted fountain it will promote a relaxing and tranquil space.
