Would I be able to properly test out my new HD TV with amazon streaming?
I'm buying a Vizio 32" LCD HDTV today. Originally I was going to wait to buy the blu-ray player for it because the cheapest one I could find was like $170 and I really shouldn't spend that much money right now. But I'm nervous that I won't really be able to test out the quality of the TV because we don't have any HD cable channels. The only way I'd be getting HD at first is with Netflix/Amazon streaming. Now I heard the Amazon HD streaming is better than Netflix HD streaming. Do you think I would be able to see if the TV works well by streaming something from Amazon HD? I use a wireless connection for it so I just didn't know how good the quality would be on that?

A. NOT really
Even if the resolution is HD (say 1080i) the stream will be heavily compressed and you better have broadband much higher than typical 1.5 to 2 Mbits/s.
