vizio vbr100 blu-ray
When I put in the movie Avatar on blu ray it takes a very long time and never plays. Whats wrong?
I recently bought avatar on blu ray and when i tried to put it in the player said "Format Unknown" so I went and i got an update for the player. So second time i put it in it actually started but it took waaay to long and longer than usual and eventually just didnt work. Im very frustrated because this movie is great. I have a Vizio vbr100 blu ray player

Sounds odd... after you do an update, it should be ok.
Before I pick on the Vizio brand... I'd say return the bluray disc for another.
It is possible that it was manufacturered -burned badly or warped disc.
So... the Vizio brand probably has not put out a new enough update to be able to play Avatar - which is manufacturered with a different process - meaning your player may need the latest codecs.
You may need to wait for Vizio to release their latest updates.
Just look it up on Google - and I'm sure you're not the only one having this trouble... and Vizio may not be the only brand to be a bit behind with their updates.
