Is there that much of a difference between 720p and 1080p?
I know what the differences actually are, as in how they work. My question is, if I buy a 32" Vizio TV, will I notice that it's only 720p? I went to the store and saw that the picture in 1080p TV's was somewhat clearer. In my last question about TV's someone answered that I wouldn't notice a difference in anything under 40". The definition only matters for my Xbox 360, as I can't afford HD cable right now. Just tell me what you think, I'm currently using a 10 year old Sony tube TV, so mind you I won't be all too picky about it.
In order to see a difference in pic quality between a 32" 720p or 1080p TV, you will have to be sitting very close to it!
The recommended seating distance for a 32" 1080p TV is about 4ft! For a 32" 720p TV it's about 6ft. So if you're going to be sitting 4ft from this TV, get a 1080p. If you're sitting 5ft or farther away, go with a 720p TV!
If you sit too far from a 1080p TV, you won't see a difference in pic quality! Many people tend to think that 1080p is always better no matter what...they are wrong!!!
