grainy picture on new vizio sv421xvt.?
What can i do about it . The picture is not very crisp on hd channels everyone looks like they are in 3D. Blue ray looks crazy good but directv hd is not 2 great.
If your DVD player and satellite box are both connected to your TV with HDMI cables, I would try this:
1. Swap the two HDMI inputs at the connectors on the TV. See if nothing has changed, or if the trouble has swapped (Blueray grainy, satellite good).
2. Swap the two HDMI cables. Note the same comparison as above.
By these two steps, you may be able to identify either a bad HDMI input jack on your set or a bad HDMI cable.
3. If none of the above changes anything, the suspect is your satellite system, the one source of trouble no matter what you change. It's not your TV--the picture was good with a known good source in both HDMI jacks.
If you're connected with component cables instead of HDMI, the same procedure applies; it just involves moving more cables around. Good luck.
