Now, my question is if I want to have theater like sound in my living room, do I need the sound bar AND more speakers? because I want the bass, but I don't know if a sound bar can deliver that.
I wouldn't mind having two of those very tall speakers sitting beside my TV stand either..
Another question too.
I have a 42'' Vizio and the TV looks so small to me, so is going with the 47'' going to be a big difference to me? I want to have the best kind of TV picture.
If you're looking for theater-like sound, then go for a modestly-priced theater-in-a-box kit that will have everything you need to get started on having great sound with your picture. If you're looking to keep your sound in stereo, then sound bars are a great way to achieve some very nice sound for a good price. Looking at the specs for the bar you selected, it doesn't have a very low frequency response (<60Hz), but it does include an output so you may add a subwoofer if you want (more $$$), and by the time you spend that much money, you could have a decent full surround system.

but again, you'll then need a stereo amp (more $$). Hope this answer atleast gives you some ideas about the options you have.
...And about the 47"... it's all in the eye of the beholder.Personally, if you're going to upgrade, atleast make it two sizes bigger to make it notably larger.
