Should I buy a Vizio LCD tv?
Hi,
I am thinking about purchising a 47" Vizio LCD tv (model # GV47LF). For it's value is it worth it, or should I save my money for something else?

depends on how much quality means to you. vizio is a entry level hd tv. the pictures are ok for a cheap hdtv , the quality is something to be guessed. the company is relativly new and every techniian i know says they have had alot of repair calls for them and that it is a headache to get part for them. to me id save my money to get a better brand and better qulity tv. you will be much happier with the better picture quality and it will last longer. good brands are , in no order. lcds= sony samsung panasonic toshiba sharp, plasma= pioneer panasonic hitachi samsung. to me id pick a plasma they last as long as lcd and prduce better more natural colors. and a 42" plasma will cost less than that vizio. and at 42" 1080p resolution doesnt make that much difference you will be very happy witha 42" plasma from any of the maufacurers that i mentioned above and it will give you an excelent picture. but the choice is up to you. good luck.
