vizio flush wall mount
wall mounting TV?
I have a 47" vizio and I'm not sure if I want a flush mount, arm, tilt... should I buy from vizio or universal... what about a tv stand with an LCD float... how bad are the wall mounts on your wall?
If you don't have a helper you could drop your TV. Flush mount means you can't point the tv downward if it is mounted higher than your eye level line of vision(your neck may hurt looking upwards.)
If you have a crazy space for your tv an arm installation may give you a better chance of centering the viewing and also allow you to swing the TV away when not viewing the TV.
Some wall mounts are terrible, when you can't find the studs to hold up the bracket. (You should have it strong enough to support your weight) A wall mount on a weight supporting wall may be strengthened, but you also need to do some plaster work to repair the open wall.
If you are not competent consider to invest $200 to $500 for a more competent installer. Near the high end they can install it so that no wires are visible and near the low end it may be better to just stand the TV on furniture or a stand....
