Im getting a new tv but i need help?
hi, i am going to purchace a new tv for my sons room. I understand that 1080p is the best. i have some tvs picked out and i would like to only pay no more that 460. he has a playstation 3 so i need good quality for that and our dish does have some HD channels.

notice the 2 and 3 tv they look the same tv but different brand so should i pay 60 dollars more for a name brand?
At 32" you don't truly need 1080p. Most consumer and guru HDTV guides will tell you that you won't see the advantages of 1080p until you break 40", and more so 50". Its not that it will hurt at all, but its just that you might not get a lot of return on your financial investment (poor bang for the buck). 1080p sounds attractive, but people rock 720p at 42" and 46" and love their HD experience, so you need to really think that through how badly you feel you need it.
The one exception I might give in on is if you're going to use it for a lot of computer work. And I don't mean watching a movie here or there. I mean like daily computing. In that case you might want the added resolution (maybe).
Sanyo, Viore, Philips, and Vizio are all 2nd tier brands. At the prices you are paying, I think you can still do better brand wise. You might have to shop around a bit or wait on a sale, but I think you can get a better quality TV for those prices.
The Panasonic TC-L32C12 is $500 regular at Best Buy. But right now its on sale for $450. And Amazon.com lists it at only $399. So if you find a place that will price match Amazon, you can get it for that. Panasonic is a vastly superior brand.
Amazon also has the LG 32LH20 for $415 I believe and the Sony KDL-32L5000 for $443. I'd take either of those over any of the brands you had listed in your question. Again, if you want to get it from a retail store, just look for one that will price match Amazon (or wait on a good sale).
If you really feel inclined that you must have 1080p though, then I'd look to LG 32LH30 for $477 on Amazon. Its only a bit more than the Vizio and I think a bit more reputable.
Vizio is a good up and coming brand, but they are still not quite there. They have had some models perform quite strongly though. But if I were to buy one of their sets I would need to do a lot of looking around for reviews and customer feedback on the specific model.
