should i buy the 32" Sony Bravia 720p or the Vizio 32'' Class Java Series Full-HD 1080p?
should i buy the 32" Sony Bravia 720p or the Vizio 32'' Class Java Series Full-HD 1080p? i want a 32" tv and i have decided on buying one of these two and price is not a factor in my decision. i want the best overall picture. should i buy the top quality in Sony and only 720p, or should i go with the Vizio because it is full HD and 1080p? which TV is going to give me the best possible picture and be overall the better Tv? At that image size the 1080p won't make a difference. You want to be into 42" or greater before you worry about 720p. At 32" you'd have to sit with your nose against the TV to see the advantages of 1080p. So I wouldn't make your purchase decision on that spec at all.
Sony will give you better overall picture quality. Vizio is a decent up and comer, but its not a top tier manufacturer, Sony is one. So I would definitely take the Sony over the Vizio considering the scenario you have laid out.
Also, 1080p is many a year away from becoming wide used. Right now basically no broadcast television uses it. TV is all 1080i and 720p. There is one satellite company claiming it, but its kind of sketchy as to how true 1080p what they are offering is. Some BluRay DVDs are 1080p sure, but not all of them, infact not most of them. They never will be because of existing production workflows (to expensive to overhaul things for some places).
