Vizio or ViewSonic HDTV?
Assuming all things are equal (price, size, and features) which brand LCD HDTV would you choose: Vizio or ViewSonic?
I can get a ViewSonic 26 inch LCD HDTV for the exact same price as the 26 inch Vizio. Both have the same basic specs. Which one is better? Which one is the better value?
The Visio is sold at Kmart which makes me think it's a cheap TV. But somehow Visio seems to be the cool, hip brand of cheap TVs.
The ViewSonic actually retails for $200 more than the Visio but after rebates it ends up being the same price. So does that mean the ViewSonic is $200 better?
What's your take? Anyone had experience with either one of them? Let me know, good or bad.
Go with the Vizio but DO NOT purchase it from K-Mart. K-Mart and Wal-Mart sell the low end Vizios, the ones that have the black bottom (speakers). The higher end Vizios, sold at Sears, Circuit City, etc have a silver bottom (speaker). Also, Vizio is the leading HDTV seller in the country and will give you the most bang for your buck.
