vizio 1080p tv
I have a new vizio 42 in 1080p LCD tv. The sound is flat and echos?
The sound is ok when watching tv but when i hook up my xbox and play video games the sound sounds delayed and flat. I dont understand why i can here fine while watching tv but games its crappy.
what must i do to fix this problem?
Yea i planned on getting panosonic but this was rated better by consumers. Wouldn't a sound system just fix the problem?

Most televisions have appalling sound quality, and I would seriously reconsider the reviews you read if this vizio was rated better than a Panasonic (The market leader) Who reviewed it monkeys, lol.
Yes a 'sound system' is what you need, but bear in mind not all systems are equal either. In my opinion a HD screen is 'wasted' unless coupled with a decent dolby (at least, and/or THX) surround system!
Now what to buy?
As a general rule, buy the MOST EXPENSIVE you can afford!!
The moment you start to downgrade (from high-end equipment) the sound and quality will degrade. This goes for all parts of the system, amplifierprocessor, speakers, speaker cables, interconnects.
Of course assure yourself of quality first, some cables and interconnects are just plain rip-offs.
You do not need everything matching (brand wise) so shop around for the deals. 'Monitor' speakers make ideal surround (side and rear) speakers and can be purchased quite cheaply, check out richersounds.com for some great deals, I have bought a number of 'systems' (individual components, I have put together, for people) and had some great deals, or even ebay (I just bought a superb, secondhand, as-new, centre speaker, £275 new, I got it for £50.00.
Note if you do not match all the speakers brand wise, then check their specifications to at least match performance.
Depending on your budget, buy a second hand surround amp OF GOOD QUALITY, rather than a new peice of xxxx.
You will bring you screen 'alive' with not only games, but all other content too, especially movies!!
(I wont even rent a movie unless it has at least a 5.1 sound track)
