Wii picture quality issues on HDTV?
I've been playing my wii on a 32 inch Sony Bravia 720p HDTV. I've noticed some issues with the picture quality, especially the frequent occurrence of jaggies. I know the wii does not use anti-aliasing, and I understand that wii's are not meant to look great on HDTVs. I have tried using the included composite cable and a purchased component cable. The component cable yields more jaggies, but the composite cable doesn't give quite as good of an image.
I have looked at images of wii games online and I have seen various videos of wii games. My jaggies seem to be worse than what I'm seeing online. I have tried adjusting my sharpness settings and others but have not seen any major improvement. Is this normal or is there something else I could do? Please help.
yeah, it's in 16:9 and I've been going back and forth between HD (480p) and standard (480i)
Check to see if your Wii is set to HD. To do this first go to wii settings. Then go to "screen", and choose Widescreen Settings. If it is set at "Standard (4:3)" , try switching to "Widescreen (16:9)". I don't know if this will work, but it's something you should check, or try.
