How do I setup my PC with my home theater?
I'm concerned about a HTPC that I plan on setting up in the next few weeks. I'd like to know if the sound from my PC can pass through my TV's HDMI ports to my audio receiver. Here's the hardware I have to work with.
Sony Bravia 52" XBR9 (KDL52XBR9) (4 HDMI ports)
Sony Blu-ray Disc/DVD Home Theater System (BDV-T10) (1 HDMI port)
Sony Playstation 3 (1 HDMI port)
Dell Vostro 200 with a Sapphire Radeon HD 4650 vid card (1 HDMI port)
Usually, I would try to run everything to the audio receiver. But being that it only has 1 HDMI port, my question is...
If I wired the PC, PS3 and receiver to 3 of the open HDMI ports on the TV, would I be able to hear audio on the receiver from the PC and/or PS3? Sorry for the noobish question but I'm very unfamiliar with HDMI. Seeking education. Thanks!
You simply do not have enough HDMI In options on the your receiver.
