Sony Bravia XBR9 40" lcd tv question?
I have this tv and I want to know, can I add a set of powered speakers without adding a receiver or amplifier? If so, what input do I use on the TV to connect either the digital, or rca cables? Lastly, if you have this TV, how well do you like it??
If these are speakers that are self-powered, and don't need a separate receiver/amplifier (like the kind you hook up to a computer) they'll probably work fine.
You don't connect to any input. You connect them to the audio *outputs*, either the digital optical, or the RCA jacks. They're located on the back, in a column underneath a LAN connector.
If your speakers have a mini-stereo plug, you can buy an RCA-to-mini adapter:
