Sony's Bravia
Sony is one of the many brands of electronic manufacturer that became popular because of their technologies. Some of the most notable products that Sony released are their television sets. In 1968 Sony introduced the Trinitron brand name of television sets. Although it wasn't very impressive, it did opened up a new market for Sony to create new lines of television sets. BRAVIA is a Sony brand used to market its high-definition LCD televisions, projection TVs and front projectors, along with its home cinema range under the sub-brand BRAVIA Theatre. All new Sony high-definition flat-panel LCD televisions in North America now carry the BRAVIA logo. The name BRAVIA replaces the "LCD WEGA" brand name which Sony used for their LCD TVs until Summer 2005 (early promotional photos exist of the first BRAVIA TVs still bearing the WEGA name).
