Sony LCD (100 HZ Motion and Bravia Engine) or Panasonic Plasma (600HZ Sub Field Drive)? which one is better?
I am planning to buy HDTV. Am confused between Sony LCD (Z or NX or W series), Panasonic Plasma (G or S Series) and Philips (model 7403). All are in 42inch (Panasonic and Philips) or 40inch (Sony). Please guide me which one is better.
Don't listen to 'Project Omega'! Plasma TVs do not last only a couple of years! They can last many, many years just like LCD or any other type of HDTV!

Plasma TVs have the best picture qualities! They have the highest "native" contrast ratios(as high as 5,000,000:1 in 2010 models), giving them the blackest blacks and most vivid and rich looking colors! They also have the fastest response times(.001ms) and fastest refresh rates(600hz). Making them the best at displaying fast motion content(sports, movies & gaming). They have unbeatable motion sharpness!
And today's plasma tvs do not have problems with burn-in anymore thanks to new and improved gases, pixel orbiting technology and screen savers!
And they're contrast levels are rated to last from 60,000 hours to 100,000 hours before losing half their original contrast level. This is equal to or better then any other type of HDTV(including LED)!
And Panasonic is the most reliable brand of HDTV out there! They have the lowest failure rate of any other brand! I recommend you go with a Panasonic Plasma TV.
