sony bravia 46 lcd hdtv
samsung lcd or sony?
im deciding between Sony Bravia 1080p KDL46V2500 is 46" Widescreen LCD HDTV and Samsung 1080p 46" Widescreen LCD HDTV** (LNT4661F).
the samsung is about $100 cheaper than sony but which one is better quality wise?
I debated this question for about 4 months while I was shopping for my new LCD HDTV. I have had quite a few Sony products and always had good luck with them. I was comparing the Sony V3000 with a Samsung 4066F. Both are 1080p resolution. Samsung has 15,000:1 contrast, Sony has 13,000:1. Not that big of difference but slight none the less. Both have 8ms response time.
Both the Sony and Samsung were very similar in features and specs. I also learned Samsung and Sony use the same exact screens for their LCD's. So I figured price would be my deciding factor. Both of these models retail for $1899 @ Best Buy. I went with the Samsung and couldn't be happier. I got it for $1499. As of today the Sony is $1699 while the Samsung has gone back up to reg. price @ $1899 on Best Buy's website.
So to the previous post "youll regret going cheap...trust me" not really sure what your talking about. Like all electronics it is all about preference but I believe Samsung is slightly better dollar for dollar.
