sony bravia 40w5100
Sony Bravia 40' 1080p 120hz, one for $1,070 and one for $880.?
Model numbers are KDL 40W5100 and the cheaper one is KDL 40V5100. The only thing I see different (except for the reviews, the first has better reviews) is the contrast. The first one is 3800:1 native and 100,000:1 dynamic while the cheaper one is 50,000:1. Is this a huge difference? And what does the 3800:1 native mean?
Also add to the mix, model # KDL 40S5100, 40', 60 hz and 30,000:1 for $719.
I would not recommend KDL 40S5100.
Between KDL 40W5100 and KDL 40V5100, KDL 40W5100 a bit better picture quality with higher contrast ratio and come with BE3 (The Favorites Menu function makes it easy to quickly access your favorite channels and frequently used video inputs) while KDL 40V5100 come with BE2.
However I don't think that is a big difference, KDL 40W5100 is good enough and help you save $200.
