sony bravia 26 inch 1080p
HDTV help????
could anyone explain to me the difference between 720p and 1080p?????..........i just recently purchased a 26 inch sony bravia with 720p........is that good or bad???......i bought it for 700 hundred dollars.......which is better overall???? 720 or 1080????
i also have a new xbox 360, will the graphics be superb with the 720p???
TV images are made up of a series points of light called pixels. Pixels are arranged in horizontal lines on a TV screen. 720p/1080p are names given to id the vertical resolution or lines of a TV screen.
720p - 1280 pixels per line (horizontal resolution) & 720 lines (vertical resolution)
768p - 1366 pixels per line (horizontal resolution) & 768 lines (vertical resolution). Note: to add to the consumer's confusion, this vertical resolution is also usually referred to as 720P.
1080p - 1920 pixels per line (horizontal resolution) & 1080 lines (vertical resolution)
Your Sony 26" TV is build with 768p. No 26" TV is built with 1080p resolution. This would greatly add to costs and nobody could see the difference. NO 26" TV needs 1080p resolution. I have seen BlueRay on your Sony TV & it is spectacular! You bought a great 26" TV.
