Un55B7000 Samsung - Shockingly Good, But The Un55B8000 Will Be The Replacement Kuro

I was a fan DLP committed first stage of a conversion experience of Friday 17 April. I had planned to replace my Samsung DLP with a Mitbushi or LaserVue DLP. In the last hours, I could not go through.

A major producer of Los Angeles to set up a display with the UN55B7000 Samsung inserted between LaserVue and Kuro 151. The results were clear enough in my eyes. The Luxia pretty well crushed and two. The cult of Kuro will denounce me for heresy and blasphemy, but this is what I saw. 1 hour of fiddling with the settings LaserVue does not change the situation much. The Kuro has been locked in a calibrated settings that employees not have allowed me to change. Evidently, it was completely in tune. Again, this left me with the impression that a fully calibrated Kuro is an over-rated beast indeed. No wonder Pioneer exit the market.

The bottom line: I bought this unit the next day. It took about 2 hours to tune in after I pulled out of the box. [Use the natural frame color. Customize the motion smoothing to 7 for the control of jitter and 7 for the control of the blur, or completely shut off] He has since been quite surprising. Incredible color. Incredible red. Incredible contrast ratios. Incredible black levels. Very bright. Not generate any noticeable heat. It does not get hot. The detail and sharpness and depth of image is really amazing. I've never seen anything that can compare, and I have been shopping for several months now.

Cons

I'm still questioning the merit of the proposal 120Hz technology smoothing. Does strange things to instant replay in slow motion. He does things 24fps foreign film. Seems to work best with live action sports and HDTV programs shot in digital. You can always turn it off. Blu-rays seem more natural with the technology off. Ultimately, Blu-Ray looks great both ways.

Advice

A tip for the first reader and all the others. You should never, never, never use the speakers on your HDTV. All high-definition televisions are equipped with loudspeakers reference pathetic 10 watt stinks. All HDTV owners should invest in some sort of home theater surround sound system. It must not be that expensive. Even at $300 Home Theater in a Box will make a world of difference.
