samsung lcd tv 52 240hz
what is the true refresh rate of my samung 52 lcd?
i have a samsung lb52b750 its the 240hz.... i did NOT opt for a 3d ready tv and the only one in my price range was the mitsubishi 60 dlp just got rid of my 65 inch mitsu dlp no thank you not again...any ways my question is.... i know the samsung doesnt have a IR plug for the shutter glasses and all that mess BUT my computer is 3d compatible aside from a lack of monitor and the glasses... can i hook up my pc through the television and enjoy 3d?? basically all i wanna know is what the TRUE refresh rate of this television is...the 240hz is interpolated i believe. AND if i could use this television as a "monitor" to my pc and use the nvidia glasses...

No... the response time of the lcd has NOTHING to do with 3d capability.... i'm asking what the TRUE refresh rate is of this television not the response time of the lcd its 2ms by the way
Generally Refresh rates do not apply to LCDs. its the response time that you want to look at. The lower the response time the better.
ok, what does refresh rate refer to? it refers to how fast the screen can redraw itself right? Well, LCD monitors do not redraw themselves like CRT monitors. Each pixel on an LCD responds individually when it is told to change color. CRTs refresh line by line. Therefore Refresh rate does not apply to LCDs. your monitor takes 2milliseconds for a pixel to respond when it is told to change color.
