Why is there a thin blue line down my samsung 40" LCD tv?
On the left side of my tv there is a thin blue line down it, the other day it was red then yellow now its blue, the warranty just ran out and the tv cost £500+
Please help!!!
This is a fault on the display panel.
The fault would be so expensive to repair you would be better of replacing the tv.
Try contacting the maker and the dealer explain that a tv costing £500+ should be expected to last longer than it has.
Your rights under the sale of goods act don't end at 12 months try contacting trading standards if the others don't help.
Often manufactures like Panasonic and Sony will supply the dealer with the parts free of charge in these cases.
You have been unlucky effects like you describe are much more common on Plasma panels.
