Forgiveness, mercy and equanimity are the reins and devotion to the Lord is its charioteer. 0 friend, whoever possesses such a chariot can never be defeated. With this chariot he can not only subdue minor temptations, but transcend the trappings of this material world.”
RAMAYANA –“When the gods oppressed by Havana appealed to Lord Brahma, he replied: While Ravana was asking for his boon, he asked to be unconquerable by the gandharvas (celestial singers), yakshas (sprites), gods and demons. His boon was granted. His contempt made him forget to mention men; he shall therefore be destroyed by none other than a man.”

Self-awareness is possible only in human beings, and knowledge and education are the sources of making one Self-conscious. Formal education creates roles for the individual without developing his personality”

It is difficult to get attached to Shiva. In Tamil Nadu, it is said you shouldn't keep Shiva's form in your house. He is the Maheshwara, but he has no space in your home; why? Maheshwara means he is beyond all gods. If he's there, his very form is such that all your attachments will get destroyed. You have made big investments in your attachments, and even though they have brought you very painful dividends, you still can't throw them away.”

If not, the awareness brings us courage and ways to work through it. "The period of greatest gain in knowledge and experience is the most difficult period in one's life".
