What are the things I should look for in judging a good LCD TV panel ?
So I'm thinking of buying a few LCD TV panels and was wondering if you can advice me on things that I need to look for. Technical stuff like contrast ratio, brightness, solution, etc. are welcome for you to address.. Please also let me know how these panels are graded as A/ A- and so on. I'll greatly appreciate your help. Thanks.
Look for higher contrast ratios, even though those ratings are usually fudged. As far as resolution goes, if you want an HD set, the resolution must be AT LEAST 1280x720(tho it's usually 1366x768) which is 720P. 1920x1080(also known as 1080P) is the highest resolution consumer tv's support.
If you are buying a tv under 42'', don't waste your money on a 1080P set as you will not be able to tell a difference in quality on smaller displays. 720P is good enough.
