HDTV....I need help, how do I change from 1080i to 1080p on my vizio 46 in LCD tv?
You don't change it. There is no option to change it.
TVs playback what they are provided from the source. So whether its broadcast TV, DVD, BluRay, or a gaming console, it doesn't make a different. What you feed it, is what it will playback.
Broadcast TV is either 1080i or 720p currently. It might some day come over as 1080p, but not right now. So that's what you should expect to see.
1080p is really only prevalent with BluRay or digital files (online movies). Other than that you're not too likely to encounter 1080p. So if you want to exploit that feature on your TV, go and snag a BluRay player.
