lcd tv wall mount
Is it possible to mount a 65lb LCD TV on a wall mount w/ Metal Studs?
I have read conflicting information - some say is it fine using butterfly bolts, others say it the studs will not hold the weight. What is the right answer?
I've seen some really bad answers, but I can't figure out where this one came from. There's no difference between LCDs and plasmas. In fact, LCDs are generally lighter than plasmas. Go to home depot and make sure you get the right kind of fasteners to mount the TV. Look at all of the wall mounted TVs in stores and other commercial spaces. A fair percentage of these are mounted on metal studs.
