Sanyo vs. Magnavox, which is a better LCD TV?
A sanyo 1080p or a Magnavox 1080p, i am looking at both these 42 inch tv's. I can't decide witch tv is better, does anyone have any good info.
Magnavox is better, on the availability of parts and service. Otherwise, they are both pretty much junk. In LCD, look at Sony, Toshiba, and Sharp in that general size, or even (ugh) Samsung, and compare with the Panasonic 42" plasma.
BTW, you may well be wasting a bunch of $$$ by getting a 1080p in such a small screen. Most mere mortals can't tell the difference between 1080p and 720p/1080i in a screen under 50" unless they are just a couple of feet away. 1080p in smaller sets is just a marketing ploy.
