should i buy LCD or Plasma?
In Front of anything else, I must state that this is a decision between two very different technologies. Processing and manipulation of the picture is dealt with in very different ways.This article is going to concentrate more on how the consumers experience differs.
so here are a few important points to help you make your decision ...
The size
The conflict between Lcd and Plasma is fought in the field of the 37-50 inch screen size. But in reality the LCD does not often go beyond 45 ins, which just means that for a bigger size you only have the choice of a plasma. In contrast, in the small sizes (15 to 36 ins), your only option is LCD, because Plasmas are not produced in the smaller sizes.
Image Quality / Contrast / Saturation
Plasma and LCD TV's are capable each of dishing out extraordinary picture quality. Even So, the plasma is more suitable for home cinema. Plasmas allow for the reproduction of extremely deep blacks: for picture information that has very little brightness, the contrast and sharpness is far superior.
In comparison, it is difficult for LCD to get really deep blacks (it always has a small amount of light between the pixels). This does not mean that LCD technology is not suitable for TV screens: much advancement has been made in this field and we have come to anticipate sets with higher contrast,and deep blacks of superb quality.

The only alternative is to renew the screen.
Speed Response
Some earlier LCD sets have a very slow response at higher frame rates:the rendering of are poor as a result. Even So LCD technology has made much advancement in this area: the performance difference between Plasma and LCD is much less apparent today.
Power Consumption
LCD's use less electricity than their peers (30% less on average) The Price
Plasmas are still somewhat cheaper than LCD's. The reason being that the action of manufacturing is cheaper than LCD. this is even more true when you get into the larger sizes.
Make your decision
I think that there is room in the market for both LCD and Plasma. LCD TV's offer finer contrast, do not get screen burn and are more energy efficient. Plasmas on the other hand offer larger screens at a cheaper price and of course cannot be beaten on their deep blacks.
