Un55B7000 Samsung - Short Cable, One Speaker, Big Picture
The first thing to understand about television is that they are actually LED LCD televisions that are backlit with LEDs. Still not going to get true blacks and whites without getting heavy and sucks plasma power. That said, the picture is amazing! We have several properties LCD and plasma, and this is an exceptional product.
In my house, we do not care particularly for the automatic movement when watching TV shows. For games and sports, is great, but it almost seems unnatural when watching some shows. We bought this model because we knew that we were not going to use the 240 Hz Auto Motion anyway.
I have some things to stress about this TV though.
First, the power cord is incredibly short time (at least that we received from Amazon Warehouse Deals, it was.). This is a very important thing to know if you are mounting on the wall or above a fireplace that does not have an outlet mounted high.
Secondly, there is only one speaker, and is in the back of the TV. This is particularly a problem for us because we use an A / V receiver, but do not expect the TV sound to sound good by itself. Another thing about audio is that no audio output to connect the components (direct, XBOX, Blu Ray, computers ...) on television and have the audio to be sent to a stereo system.
UN55B7000 Samsung - Excellent
I am very happy with the UN55B7000 Samsung. Very fresh look on the wall and great photos. It 'been easy to hang as well, I did my suspension system with parts from the local store big box home. I run the audio through a receiver, so I cannot comment on the "problem" with the poor sound of the Samsung. There are two "places" that I have with this set:
1. Sometimes, the picture is a bit 'too light. The flow of movement that create a framework that is almost too good sometimes. However, this is not a problem, just an observation.
2. You can see some bright spots in the periphery of the screen when its black. It seems that some of the LED lights are too bright. Again, not really a problem unless you see a completely black all the time.
3. This set does not automatically formats the image to enter the image size. This is only a problem if you switch from analog HD feed and feed. I do often, so it's a bit 'a problem without having to constantly adjust the image size.
4. On some channels, you will get flickering white bar at the top of the picture. I did not block when this happens, but it is associated with # 3 ,,,,, do not have the correct aspect ratio according to the feed photos.
Overall, great bang for the dollar. Very happy.
