How To Mount Television Wall Brackets
You have bought a new flat screen TV, want it wall mounted, and decided to install it yourself. Before you do this, you have a lot to learn and some choices to make. Where do you want this TV mounted? Not the room...the wall, corner, or ceiling. How high do you want it to be? Will you be lying down or sitting up? You have to know these things before you can learn how to mount television wall brackets.
You probably made this decision to use wall brackets because you had a small room, a large television, or perhaps small children and pets that leave their fingerprints and nose prints all over the screen. If you have windows that cause glare, you have another reason for this choice.

You will find that they can offer you a flat mount, a tilt wall bracket, swivel wall mount, cantilevered wall mount, and even a motorized wall mount. And if you have an over-sized TV, you can customize to fulfil your needs.
Next you need to pick the exact location. If you are flat mounting the TV, will you be able to see it if you lay down on the sofa? Sitting up at eye level, your screen should be centred. Location is very important if you don't have swivel or tilt to help avoid window glare.

You need two people to do this job, plus a dust sheet, an electric drill, a level, and both a Phillips screw driver and one with a round head. You need to be careful not to hit any electric cables or pipes in the wall.
Make sure that you bolt into two studs...this is a heavy unit, and you don't want to tear it out of the wall. Use the bolts and screws that come with your TV wall brackets. And follow the included instructions exactly. If you have even a single doubt, call a professional installer.
