LCD Wall Mounts and Plasma Brackets
Fortunately there are lots of viewing angles available with flat panel TV's because they can be put up on cantilevered or articulating brackets or wall mounts. This is important especially if you have a large viewing area because with these mounts then the television can be angled up, down or sideways depending on where you're sitting.
For symmetry in a room where the flat panel will be in the center you can use a flat wall mount which makes a very economical use of space. The angle will be locked into flat as that's all it can do so where it's mounted and weight restrictions are important here. If it's going to be up high on the wall you may want to investigate a tilt mount so it can be angled down toward where you sit.
Viewing radius is not the only factor in selecting a mount. Look at your monitor to gauge the accessibility of external wiring. If you choose to expand your home entertainment system, will the wall mount allow easy access to these A/V ports? If not, consider a cantilever or swivel mount.
