Adaptor Infocus
I want to project a movie with my new video iPod and a projector, BUT outdoors with no electrical outlet. How?
I need a cheap way to get a projector (I'm thinking InFocus or ViewSonic) hooked up to my iPod so that I can view a movie on a wall (or other flat surface) outdoors, but I may be in a situation where there is no near-by power outlet. I've thought about hooking it up to my car's lighter power adaptor or to a generator/ battery.... but don't know much more than that. Ideas??
You need an inverter to convert DC to AC. I would suggest possibly renting a small portable generator. Get a 50 - 75 foot extension cord and run it the full length. Place the generator as far from the projector as possible (noise issues) and it should be fine. Some generators are pretty quiet and cheap to rent from home depot or hardware store.
Good luck.
