26 hdtv pc monitor
Crisp image on HDTV hooked on a computer, or still need my old PC monitor?
I plan on buying a HDTV 26 or 32 inches
I want to know, since the pixel size of HDTV is 2-3 times bigger than the pixel size of a computer screen and that the ratio resolution:size of screen of the HDTV is less, will It be any good as a pc screen to do everything (ex: working in word) of mainly just for movies. Will I still need my old PC LCD?
If I can just use this TV, what is a good distance to be from the tv to get a good view when hooked on the computer?

Hi,
If you want to use LCD as both TV and monitor, you should go with 1080p (1920*1080). However, only sharp makes 32" LCDs in 1080p and there are many choices at 37" and higher szes.
At this resolution, the pixel size is not that big and you can use it for both purposes. You do need to sit at least 2 or 3 feet away when you are using as monitor. I generally reduce the contrast and brightness while using as monitor.
