Do PlayStation 3 Owners Really Need to Buy a HDTV?
Recently, they have increasingly thin TVs, and some might even say … ‘Sexiest’, but it is better to come?
Of course, the latest trend is the HDTV (high definition), with the promise of excellent image quality, but at a much higher price than regular CRT (cathode ray tube) televisions.
Classified as plasma, LCD rear projection and leave the language of the seller as you walk into your local appliance store, before being asked to choose between a variety of screen sizes, shapes and signs. It’s enough to make you give up, even before you start to look at!
So I need an HDTV for my PS3?
PlayStation 3 also comes with a cable that lets you use a regular TV, so you do not “need” one, but be prepared to be very disappointed with the quality of the image.
The PS3 is not cheap, while the PS2 is, so be sure to be happy not to see any difference between the games on a TV or old.
The biggest problem for people who were the first to buy an HDTV is that there was almost nothing to do with that show very high levels of detail that can be produced from these televisions. Normal TV channels can be even worse on an HDTV, because they emphasize every little imperfection. Digital television is better, but again it may seem terrible when you are watching fast moving scenes or very detailed. Ideally, you must subscribe to a number of channels dedicated to high definition.
Therefore, all this sounds negative, and the launch of the PS3 Sony has been.
Now things are different. All PS3 games are high definition, pushing your HDTV to produce amazing detail and vivid color range, or even possible on a computer monitor at home.
A recent firmware upgrade the PS3’s DVD upscaling regular hours and makes them look amazing when you play on an HDTV.
The PlayStation 3 has a BluRay built. Blu ray is now coming down in price, and now there is a wide choice of films to choose from, all recorded in high definition. Personally, I recommend renting Blu-ray, for now, until the price is a bit ‘more.
The PS3 also allows you to surf the Internet, which is a completely new experience in a 32-inch screen sitting on a comfortable chair. Many HDTV allows you to split the screen, allowing others to watch TV while surfing the net.
So the choice is more difficult.
If you are satisfied with a small screen and has no television stations, then the alternative is to connect the PS3 to a computer monitor. You will need a special cable and a monitor with digital input, but this works well. If the monitor has no speakers, then you have to buy a little ‘.
If you want a screen larger than 22 inches, then definitely get a HTDV, but make sure you have at least one HDMI connector on the back and has a resolution of 1080i or 1080p and a refresh rate of 8ms or less on the screen.
